IF YOU HAVE A HEALTH FACTOR THAT MAY AFFECT YOUR DRIVING, SUCH AS DIABETES, EPILEPSY OR HEART CONDITIONS; YOU WILL REQUIRE A MEDICAL SCREENING FROM YOUR FAMILY DOCTOR.

When you apply for your operator's licence or identification card, we must verify your identity through a strict identity confirmation process. Although this may seem to be an inconvenience to some, it is a government policy that MUST be followed to protect all Albertans identity.

Anyone under 18 years of age that is not married or self-supporting must provide consent from a parent or legal guardian to do any services at the registries.

Individuals who have a vision impairment or a medical condition that may adversely affect their driving ability such as Diabetes, Epilepsy, Heart Conditions or is on any medications; MUST inform the registry agent. Please note, this list is not all inclusive.
